The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) had a productive talk with the woman who became his second mother. Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) death changed Douglas’ life forever, but it also deeply impacted his father’s perceptions.

It was touching to see Douglas being held in Hope Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) arms in the Forrester Creations’ design room. That came after Samiri’s character asked his adoptive mother if she would be open to giving his dad another chance.

Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) has worked on himself, as Hope reiterated to Douglas. Thomas’ entrance into the room reinforced the touching dynamic between this trio.

Such has been the case with this child actor. Samiri debuted, along with Atkinson in 2019. The work of this now ten-year-old actor was honored this year with a Daytime Emmy nomination. That award has yet to be presented due to the postponement of the annual award ceremony.

It is hard to imagine that it has been four-plus years since TPTB refreshed Thomas’ character and opened a new storyline

Choosing to enter a full-blown relationship with Thomas is no easy consideration based on the complex history, to put it nicely, Hope has with this particular man.

Douglas has good insight into people, as he expressed to Hope. What he offered, by encouraging her to give Thomas another chance, was a wink.

Who better than Douglas, Thomas’ flesh and blood, to know that his dad has crossed the stability threshold? Samiri’s character wanted Hope to know that he recognizes Thomas’ changes are real and therefore it is reasonable for her to also believe it.

At this point in the plot and in the development of Atkinson’s character, the only person who can stop Thomas’ upward trajectory is Thomas. He has put himself in the best position he has been in for a long time.

Thomas loves Hope, as Douglas told her. While she knows that, Douglas also suspects that she may be developing similar feelings for Thomas.

All Thomas needs to do is stay above the fray and allow Hope the space she needs. She is already pursuing him, which is a complete shift from the recent past on B&B.
