General Hospital spoilers suggest Jake Webber (Hudson West) is spending time with Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) as of late, and it stands to reason that both of their parents will start asking questions soon.

When the young co-eds showed up at Charlie’s this week together, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) couldn’t help but smirk at her son growing up into such a good-looking young man.

She’s not the type of mom to pry and knows her boys need privacy — to an extent. But she will grow curious about his choice in friends when word gets out about Charlotte breaking into Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) hotel room, and she may be caught off guard as to how defensively Jake reacts to her questioning. Could there be a reason for that?

Elizabeth has questions, and Jake is going to see to it that he answers his mom in a way that leaves her satisfied with his response.

Could it be that he’s trying to stay ahead of the game and make sure his bases are covered before Elizabeth hears what Charlotte has done?

She’s definitely the type of mom who would then warn him not to get wrapped up in anything with a girl like that. Maybe he’ll try to let her know in advance that Charlotte is just a casual friend he’s working on a project with, but is that really true?

Not only is Charlotte a Cassadine, but let us not forget that Jake is a Morgan, which really means he’s a Quartermaine, too. Having Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) for a father taught Jake many important life lessons about how to treat other people.

But you know what they say: Children learn from what we do, not what we say. What are the odds that under Jake’s friendly but shy exterior, he’s a lot more like Jason meets A.J. Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) than anyone knows?

General Hospital Spoilers — How Far Can This Go?

Charlotte may be far more accomplished than we’ve given her credit for. She is a Cassadine after all. Should we really be discrediting her this early in the game and assuming she doesn’t have the connections to pull off a hired shooting at the Metro Court?

Is it possible that she could have swindled someone into setting up that shooting just to scare the two parties involved — Anna and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)?

Wouldn’t someone like Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) be thrilled to set her up with such connections and pass the torch to a fellow young Cassadine? Perhaps more went down when she was off at that Swiss boarding school against her father’s wishes than she let on.
