The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers document that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is panicked because he believes John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is being manipulated by Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). Liam’s understandable concerns about his daughter are tied to Finn’s odd response to Sheila realizing a clear murder charge.
The drama that unfolded on the beach in Los Angeles, California, was strictly soap. It just so happened that Finn took Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras Mckinlay) for an afternoon of intended fun when Sheila was able to track them to that exact location, set up a tent, and observe what became a crisis.
Sheila’s general pattern is not to initially create mayhem. She has often performed acts of kindness and appears to project normal humanity. Such was the case when she saw Kelly was in danger in the ocean and ran to save her.
Liam had marital problems. But those emergent months passed, the issue came to a head in Rome, Italy, and his marriage ended shortly thereafter.
Rather than deal with the fallout of his failed remarriage to Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) or confront her assertion, that his enduring love for Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), was the problem, Liam has shifted gears.
Clifton’s character is pointing his condescending finger of blame at Finn. He wants to shake Steffy’s trust in her husband, with Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) quickly spotting the implied intention.
Steffy loved her life. She was living the dream at the cliff house with Finn and her two children.
No one, including Sheila, believed the murder charge would be dismissed. But Judge Evan Scott (Michael Corbett, who portrayed David Kimble on The Young and the Restless, Warren Carter on Search for Tomorrow, Michael Pavel, Junior on Ryan’s Hope, and Brent Cameron on One Life to Live) determined that Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) personal connection to the authorities and how the government agents obtained Sheila’s confession was illegal.
Finn appeared to have recognized the danger his birth mother represented. But, as viewers saw in recent weeks, the maternal bond she holds is unbreakable.
The Finnegan’s lives are again endangered because Finn can not turn away from the woman who inadvertently shot him while trying to shoot Steffy, hit his wife with a second bullet so she could not call for help, left both of them for dead, faked her death, and tried to kill Finn’s adoptive mother, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda).
Finn appears destined to make a forced choice. Sheila is clever. So, she will likely allow Steffy to make the demand that Finn chose one or the other.
Steffy will not allow Finn to enable Sheila to have access to their children. That trends toward the same ending Liam experienced with Hope, meaning divorce on B&B.
