But Olivia knows how to slap some eyeliner back on her face and get back out there. She’s going to work every day, planning Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) wedding to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), and spending her free time with her son.

But soon she might find a new way to stem the pain of Ned’s absence, and it could end up creating serious complications for her family.

It seems that Olivia just can’t catch a break. Her heart is breaking watching Ned move on with his life as though she never meant anything to him and their life and marriage didn’t even happen.

Watching her own husband flaunt his stuff around town like a single man has taken a serious toll on Olivia’s emotional well-being. And let’s not forget the fact that her go-to gal pal, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), has been MIA during this ordeal until now.

But fear not, Olivia isn’t one to just sit around and wallow in self-pity. Just when she convinces herself she’s strong enough to weather this storm on her own, an unexpected shoulder to cry on will appear. Enter Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).

When Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) dug that knife into Cody’s side, fans everywhere held their breath. Olivia seemed like the closest thing to a caretaker in Cody’s orbit — the perfect person to restore him back to health, but the soap gods had other plans.

Can we dare to dream that Cody and Olivia might find comfort in one another’s arms? Olivia has always been a champion of any of Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) friends, but Cody represents a different era in his life. And let’s not forget, Olivia herself is in a decidedly unexpected place in her marriage.

Poor Dante. Not only does he have to deal with his childhood friend sleeping with his mom, but he’s also hiding a major secret that Cody is involved in.

And let’s be real, we all know that once Cody starts feeling guilty about keeping secrets from Olivia, things are bound to get messy.

The last thing Dante needs is for Cody to spill the beans to Olivia about her son and everything that happened in the past with his alleged criminal record.
