Kate Gosselin Is Getting Roasted For Alleged Excessive Discipline

Collin, one of the sextuplets from the  TLC show, Jon and Kate Plus 8, broke his silence on the troubled relationship he shares with his mom, Kate Gosselin. He shed light on his incarceration in a mental facility and spoke of abuse on VICE TVs Dark Side of the 2000s.  His mom, in turn, responded by insinuating that Collin was a violent and difficult child. Nevertheless, she’s currently facing backlash online as old footage has emerged, revealing her use of physical discipline in the past.

Kate Gosselin Got Accused By Her Kids Collin & Hannah & Her Ex- Jon

At one stage a lot of people favored the mom of the sextuplets over Jon. In hindsight, after watching the docuseries on VICE, they wonder if younger versions of themselves were right in putting up their hand to defend Jon’s now-ex. The reality TV show revealed that Jon could never do anything right, and his wife thought nothing of yelling at him in public. It got very toxic and he left. Eventually, so did his daughter Hannah who lives with him. So does Collin who ended up in a mental institution for three years.

It might seem easy to condemn Kate Gosselin of abuse when Collin was younger. However, it’s not an easy thing to prove without actual bruises. Abuse can take many forms, including emotional bullying. Collin claimed that his mother separated him from the other kids. Plus, he alleged that he couldn’t eat his meals with his siblings. Finally, he believes that she sent him to a mental home to prevent his teachers from finding out about her alleged abusive behavior.

Kate Gosselin Rumors & Footage Reveal She Was Violent With The Kids?

Collin’s big sister, Mady called him out when she claimed that he was a violent and aggressive boy. So did his mother when she responded to the VICE TV docuseries. In fact, she claimed that Collin, to this day, is a dangerous person. Well, if he’s at all violent, some people believe they can point that right back at her.

Jon Gosselin first started claiming that his ex-wife was abusive with her son, back in 2019 when the gag order on TLC was lifted. He claimed that she sent Collin to a mental institution for three years just for having ADHD. So, people check out YouTube videos for signs of her being violent. And, they think they found some.

Katie Joy of Without A Crystal Ball on Instagram put together a collage of photos and screenshots. Others also checked out footage of Kate Gosselin, looking for any abusive signals from her. Well, it turned out that Katie Joy felt the former TLC star seemed to be over-the-top physical with her kids when it came to discipline. In her long caption, she wrote, “[The Jon & Kate Plus 8 star] called Collin an attacker yet she used a wooden spoon, chased her kids around with a hollow rod, and pulled Collin up by the hair and spanked him so bad she thought she might seriously injure him when he was 2 years old.”

TLC Fans Think Violent Behavior Was Excessive?

It seems that former fans have turned on Kate Gosselin. In the comments, people recalled other scenes where they felt that the mom of eight seemed too ready to physically hurt the kids. One of them recalled when she tossed Collin’s Teddy Bear in the trash. Here are a few comments that people vented out:

And we thought all of her tantrums, yelling and screaming at Jon and the kids was bad enough. I’m surprised none of the crew on the show has spoken out. They have to have seen it. Maybe they have a gag order too?

It’s really sad because children of abusive parents, narcissistic parents, and so on often live in fear of them, their entire lives well into adulthood. I’d really like to see what happens when, or if, the other children come forward. I’d be really curious to hear from them.

What I cannot fathom is sacrificing and crucifying your own child for any reason! EVER. There is no he said/she said. No tabloids. No throwing under the bus. I’m giving all my props to Collin himself who won’t see any of this BS until he’s out of boot camp for the United States Marines!!!
