Days of Our Lives spoilers and rumors tease Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) smitten with Dimitri Von Leuschner (Peter Porte) and learning he and Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) are together will hurt. But she and Leo have been best friends a lot longer than Dimitri’s been in town-they could team up to con Dimitri out of his inheritance!

The old Gwen, before she tried to reform to please her birth father, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) would have her eyes on Dimitri’s money he’s poised to inherit much more than on Dimitri. She and Leo go back a long way, back to when she lived in Philadelphia and they have always had each other’s back. Leo has gotten himself in an untenable situation, one that is bound to hurt Gwen – if indeed she doesn’t have both him and Dimitri fooled into thinking she’s smitten with him.

The old conniving Gwen hasn’t gone anywhere-the way she got Jack to sign over the Salem Spectator by threatening to expose Jennifer Deveraux’s (Cady McClain) impaired accident proves it. Jennifer had been high on pills when she drove right into Gwen in front of the Salem Police Department and she used it to blackmail them.

What Gwen and Leo decide to do is play both ends against the middle, the middle being Dimitri-and the billions he’ll inherit once Gwen and he are married. Gwen has to go through with the wedding in order to get the money after Dimitri inherits-and then, go from there. The wedding has to happen first then the details can be plotted as to how to get herself on Dimitri’s will-and how to get rid of Dimitri. Then, Gwen splits the inheritance with Leo-but getting herself on his will could be a problem-Mama might take precedence, and who knows where Megan DiMera (Miranda Wilson) is? Then there’s the question of when she might pop up – although it’s a sure bet she’ll stay in hiding for a while.

It’s the ultimate con – Gwen plays the aggrieved sweetheart and friend, but forgives Dimitri and marries him anyway while Dimitri plays dutiful and passionate husband with her and with Leo too. Dimitri is obviously bi, although he cares about Gwen but is mad about Leo; they know they’re sharing Dimitri in the bedroom. Since Dimitri just lost his squatting privileges at the DiMera mansion, having been evicted by EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) who’s the rightful heir, he, Leo and Gwen move in together.

Leo and Gwen both pretend the other doesn’t know about Dimitri’s going back and forth between the two of them where bedroom antics are concerned. Then they figure out where to go from there, to get Gwen on Dimitri’s will and how to end Dimitri, but it has to be soon before Megan returns!
