The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will make a rash decision. Backed to the wall by Kyle Abbott, (Michael Mealor) will she be forced to go on the run, not being given a chance to clear her name?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Made Promises

Before Kyle followed Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) to Phyllis’ suite at the Genoa City Athletic Club and barged in, she’d made promises to Summer and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). She never wanted to make her children unnecessarily worry or grieve for her again, after attending her own funeral in disguise and seeing how devastated they were. All she wanted was for them to keep her secret, and give her time to clear her name – but Kyle was having none of that.

Kyle wouldn’t give Phyllis the benefit of the doubt, believing Phyllis murdered Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) in cold blood-not believing it to be self-defense. He also threw accusations at Phyllis, telling her she only ever thought of herself and didn’t care about the outcome of her schemes.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Concern For His Wife – Or Revenge For His Mother?

Summer, Daniel and Phyllis all wonder how much of Kyle’s upset over the situation is concern for his wife, or revenge for his mother! Phyllis tried to explain herself and how she was like Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) in the sense she only wanted a chance to make things right now and needed time. But Kyle spewed such vitriol back at Phyllis even after she tried so hard to make him understand-being a stepmother to him at times as a child-his understanding didn’t ring true. The last thing Phyllis wants to do is go on the run and not be able to stay in touch with her children at all, with police dogging her every step. But it seems as if Kyle is hell-bent on forcing her to do exactly that, with it being his way or the highway.

Forced To Make A Rash Move

Before Kyle’s rude interruption Phyllis had promised Daniel she’d never go on the run again, leaving him and Summer to wonder what happened to her. Yet, Kyle, thinking better of his giving Phyllis time to prove what he considered a lie, mainly her innocence, forces the issue. All he can think about is how he and everyone in that room were complicit in Stark’s murder, aiding and abetting Phyllis as a fugitive.

The police are at the door and Phyllis panics-she’s forced to make a rash move to clear her name. Will she go on the run again, until she can clear her name?
