The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers document that Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) said she wanted to be friends with Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang). But was their pact something Taylor entered into will ill intentions?

It feels like Brooke wanted to sustain her alliance with Taylor in the best interests of all. Lang’s character seemed to have been pursuing self-restraint in agreeing with Taylor to swear off reconciling with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye).

As for Taylor, she has arguably not created nearly as many self-inflicted relationship wounds that damaged her family. So, unlike Brooke, she felt less need to repent.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Unequal Repentance Needs

It is not as though Taylor held herself harmless. She did acknowledge that not telling Ridge about her awareness of Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) frame of Brooke was wrong.

Taylor was right to admit that was a major moral mistake because it likely cost her the chance to remarry Ridge. But what followed that fallout was unexpected.

Brooke and Taylor talked matters out, with Allen’s character apologizing. Brooke realized that she and Taylor repeatedly put themselves in bad positions and negatively affected their families. So, the pact was created.

The Bold And The Beautiful Updates – Choosing Themselves Was Questionable

Brooke and Taylor felt they were choosing personal freedom rather than remaining part of a decades-long dysfunctional triangle.

But basing a friendship on the grounds they identified was questionable. Were they choosing themselves when deciding that Ridge’s draw was too powerful to overcome, and therefore the love of their life had to be avoided?

Both ladies appeared to hold a certain insecurity in not knowing what Ridge would do if they allowed him to once again pick between them. But Brooke and Taylor picked him in the past. Yes, Ridge was not the sole decider.

What Is Next For Brooke Logan And Taylor Hayes?

Ridge was responsible for the overall drama that existed in this triangle, as were Brooke and Taylor. But he was not married to Taylor for decades and only said yes to her twice. In contrast, Ridge and Brooke were married eight times.

Based on buzz and deep history, Brooke appears likely to reunite with Ridge. Fans of Taylor are hoping otherwise. But she does not appear to have momentum.

Brooke’s true love is Ridge. She appears to be his deeper soul mate, with Taylor playing eternal second fiddle unless a curve is thrown at the audience this summer on B&B.
