General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal fans are seething with plenty of questions surrounding the mysterious Nurse Clara (Susan Diol). Could she be a plant sent by Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to plant seeds with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), or is there more to her story? She recently made her appearance at GH and she is already raising eyebrows. With a medical mask hiding part of her face, viewers are left wondering if there’s more to her character than meets the eye. Is she just an ordinary nurse, or does she have a hidden agenda? Could she be there on behalf of someone else who is trying to score points with Willow?

Nurse Clara seemed determined to convince Willow to reconsider her resistance to Nina’s attempts to be her mother. Clara highlighted Nina’s positive traits and accomplishments. She seemed surprised to hear the woman behind Crimson magazine was Willow’s birth mother, but that could’ve been a ruse — another clever way to play up Nina’s accomplishments and make Willow see value where she hasn’t previously. But why is Clara so invested in Willow’s and Nina’s relationship or lack thereof?

General Hospital Updates – Willow Tait Could Be Talking to Herself

One theory is that Nurse Clara might not be real at all, but rather a figment of Willow’s imagination. With Willow in isolation at the hospital following her bone marrow transplant, her mind could be playing tricks on her. However, this doesn’t explain Clara’s persistence in pushing Nina’s agenda. Is that Willow’s inner critic telling her she better not waste the opportunity to get to know Nina, even if it is just to decide she doesn’t want to after all? Has a near-death experience left Willow feeling like she shouldn’t take anyone for granted in her life?

Nurse Clara Was Paid To Care

Did anyone else notice how Nurse Clara didn’t actually tend to anything remotely resembling healthcare while she was in Willow’s hospital room? Instead, she stood by like some sort of post-transplant therapist who was there to pry and dig into Willow’s past. Was it all too convenient that she brought up Nina taking up posts outside her room but no one else?

Perhaps the most plausible explanation is that Nina has hired Nurse Clara to pose as Willow’s nurse. This would give her the perfect opportunity to influence Willow’s opinion about her. With Clara constantly emphasizing Nina’s good qualities and the upside of having a second chance to have a mom, it seems evident that she has a vested interest in bringing the two women together.
