Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers hinted that Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) was on a road to redemption; however, with fans recently learning that she used her own saliva for Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) DNA test, the idea that she’s leaving her scheming ways behind may be a thought of the past.

DOOL spoilers suggested that Sloan was on the road to redemption. She was trying to do better, and it seemed as if Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) was having a positive influence on her. By sneakily providing her own DNA to Nicole for the test, she guaranteed that Mr. Brady would not be a match for the baby. It was a very wrong thing to do and will only prolong this “who’s your daddy” storyline; although if past history dictates anything, it almost guarantees that Eric is the father.

Still, she and Eric recently shared their, “I love you’s”, a major step for Sloan. She did the wrong thing, but maybe it’s for all the right reasons. She knows that he and Nicole have chemistry and she knows how badly he wants a baby. Sloan may also realize that a baby could bond Ericole into a reunion. Mr. Brady is the best thing that’s happened to the lawyer, she was bound to revert to her old tricks to ensure she didn’t lose him.

At the end of the day, the only person Sloan has in Salem is Eric. Her brother Colin Bedford (Jasper Newman) is on the run from the law, and Petersen doesn’t have any friends in the little town to confide in. Therefore, unless the test picks up the fact that she swabbed female DNA, no one will find out about what she did, unless Sloan herself spills the beans. Will guilt get the better of her? Could she redeem herself if she comes forward?
