The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) was not comfortable being at the event that honored Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) life. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) was glad he could be there with her, but she sensed something was wrong.

Lily believed Daniel was upset because he was in the same room where Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) collapsed during the bicentennial celebration. But Khalil’s character only knows part of the story.

Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) told her brother Phyllis was alive and stabbed Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) to death. So, Daniel does not think it is right that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is facing murder charges and wants to go to the police.

Phyllis reacted in character when Summer told her that Diane was not guilty. Stafford’s character believes Diane is the reason why she was forced to fake her death and pin that fake murder on her.

Summer basically repeated her mother’s outlook when Daniel told her it was time to involve the authorities, find their mother, and bring her home. Lanier’s alter ego is not thinking straight because Phyllis put too much on her shoulders.

Phyllis’ family is totally out of order. It is a shame Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) had to leave town because he would stand with his son as a voice of reason.

Summer was grieving the loss of her mother when Phyllis sought her out and dropped the bombshell on her head. That sent Summer reeling. She is not currently capable of pulling herself out of that forced daze.

Daniel recognizes that he needs to take control of the situation because his mother needs help, and his sister is too frazzled to see reality.

Kyle Abbott Following His Wife

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is teased to follow his wife to Chancellor Park. It appears he will overhear enough to become partially enlightened.

Summer is primed to resist her husband’s questions, wanting to protect Phyllis. Stafford’s character did not want Summer to tell Daniel and definitely does not want Kyle to know she is alive because he would surely tell Diane.

Fans will keep watching as Phyllis’ plan to use whatever time she has grows short, and the truth about Diane’s innocence and Jeremy’s death is exposed on Y&R.
