General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Victor is Dead, and Spencer Lives With the Guilt?

General Hospital: Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy)

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that while it may not be the most moral of thoughts, there is something undeniably satisfying about seeing a villain meet their demise. So the idea of Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) nudging Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) toward his death is certainly intriguing. Of course, it would only be justifiable if he were in harm’s way, and many would argue he was. But Spencer went back to The Haunted Star to confront Victor and get that pathogen — not to make sure he never saw the light of day again. Now, walking away knowing his uncle might still be alive had he not intervened is going to be a tough pill for Spencer to swallow. While it’s serious to contemplate the end of a character’s storyline, there’s something undeniably witty about the idea of poetic justice being served.

General Hospital Spoilers — Victor Cassadine Made Many Enemies

Everyone will be thrilled to hear that Victor is done for — a fate long awaited by a man who had the displeasure of knowing him. But that doesn’t mean a select few won’t wish things could have gone differently. For starters, back in Port Charles, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) has returned, and she’s got an ax to grind with Victor for taking the love of her life — Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) — away from her. Likewise, Spencer will play along with his family like he’s celebrating his great uncle’s demise, but deep inside, he’s sowing seeds of guilt for leaving him on that ship to rot.

General Hospital Updates – He Might Not Be Gone For Good

Could Victor re-emerge later? Sure. Just look at Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) evil sister, Alex Marick (also Finola Hughes), who perished in Port Charles harbor without a body to confirm her death. Yeah, yeah, we saw the body, but who knows whether he was breathing or if that agent was corrupted and lied to everyone — sending Victor’s body out of sight to escape to the Greek Isles for a bit until he’s ready to strike back — likely against his great nephew. Spencer certainly won’t think there’s any hope that his great-uncle has survived. He last saw him when he assaulted him, knocking him to the ground and rendering him unconscious. When the explosion went off, Victor would not have been able to help himself. Is that Spencer’s fault?

Spencer Cassadine Lives With The Aftermath

Spencer was living his best life when he finally got together with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), and this experience of being held hostage has only served to bond them via shared trauma. Healthy? Perhaps not, but Trina won’t have much luck convincing her boyfriend that he needs to move on from all things Victor. Living in the past only gives Victor continued power over him — something they were desperate to fight all along. As Spencer delves deeper into the darkness produced by his guilty conscience, will he come clean about his last moments with Victor before it eats him alive? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
