Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers state that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) may have quite the battle ahead of her, proving her innocence in the murder case she’s been charged with. Fans know all too well that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is alive and plotted with Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) to frame Diane. However, does Jenkins deserve all the drama that’s being thrown her way?

Y&R spoilers hint that Diane will struggle with being in jail. Fans are quite divided in this storyline. On the one hand, Jenkins herself faked her own death and allowed Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) to take the fall, so in some ways, karma is biting her in the butt. She also did a slew of terrible things in her younger years.

But doesn’t everyone deserve a second chance, now and again? Diane had seemingly acknowledged her awful past ways and was looking for a clean slate. She hasn’t really done anything wrong in terms of “evil” deeds in Genoa City since she returned. Was Phyllis justified in crossing a line to gain revenge on Jenkins?

With all that said, it’s hard to say if Diane has truly turned over a new leaf. After all, she was found choking Phyllis before Ms. Summers’s “death” and seemed rather snooty at Red’s memorial. To boot, she had no issues grabbing her engagement ring from Phyllis’s cold hands while the lady was passed out, which was a completely classless move.

Some fans can’t help but wonder if Jenkins is a “changed” woman or if she’s simply trying to fool everyone once again. After all, since arriving back in town she’s gotten everything she’s ever wanted. She’s once again close (and forgiven) by her son Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor); engaged to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman); and has an established and tight-knit bond with grandson Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez). It seems that Kyle and Jack have long forgotten how she used Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) to lure Jack in during a hard time for both the young lady and her grandfather. It’s hard not to speculate on other bad deeds she did during her time away from GC.
