Y&R spoilers state that actor Thad Luckinbill will reprise his JT Hellstrom role on the soap during May Sweeps. His name has been popping up in scenes a lot lately, and fans knew it was only a matter of time before Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) ex-husband and baby daddy would return to town.

Y&R spoilers reveal that Thad and JT will officially return to the soap opera on Tuesday, May 2nd. Added teasers hint that fans will see Hellstrom during a video conference call he has with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy).

Looks like it won’t be long until he returns to the little town. How will Victoria react when she sees her ex? Unfortunately, the last time JT was around, circa 2017, he wasn’t quite himself. Hellstrom was abusive and violent towards Vic, and even left Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for dead after an altercation.

His behavior ended when Vicky, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) knocked him out with a fire poker and buried him (thinking he was dead). The four women bonded over the covered-up crime, only for JT to return, very much alive, in 2019.

Hellstrom was a walking nightmare during that Y&R run; however, it turned out that he was suffering from a brain tumor. Of course, Vicky forgave him, and he took responsibility for his actions. With that said, he was a great guy before his brain tumor episode. Could Vicky feel some sparks the moment he strolls back in town or will the trauma of what he did in the past have her feeling nervous to be around him? Maybe a connection is felt between him and Elena, or possibly Audra Charles (Zulekya Silver)? Only time will tell!
