Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and rumors pose the question, is Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) really Bo, or could he really be a clone who backfired on Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson)? Megan might claim that Bo was kept in cryogenic stasis, but eight years is an awfully long time for something like that to have worked-Bo died in 2015.
Megan herself was cryogenically frozen by her father Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) for a time in the future when she could be brought back to life. This was in 1985 but her death was not from a brain tumor-she was electrocuted in a hot tub, and there was nothing necessary to resurrect her but a jump start. But when Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) tried to bring Stefano back to life the last time, his body was unusable and Rolf tried to put his brain on a chip.
This computer chip, which Rolf referred to as Stefano’s “essence” was implanted a few years ago in Steve Johnson’s (Stephen Nichols) body. But anyone could tell it was Stefano in there, despite him being “Steveano”; with Bo, something is radically different.
A version of Bo who was more like Stefano, or maybe Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) in his younger Greek mob days may have been more useful to Megan than Bo Brady. But the one most important thing for Megan was to resurrect Bo’s love and devotion for her and erase all memory, if possible, of Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso). She claims she used the three prisms to heal Bo’s brain tumor like she wanted Stefano’s many years ago – but Stefano was still alive, and Bo was not. How could she resurrect him and heal his brain tumor if the brain is what keeps the body alive and it had killed him, even if she got him right away?
Stefano was never able to completely possess Marlena Evans (Deirdre Hall) even though he tried for many years however, he was able to create several clones of her. Megan even used one of them to trick John Black (Drake Hogestyn) into thinking that “Doc” is really dead-might she has wound up settling for a Bo clone. The body seemed to have aged as it would have in life, but could it be Bo’s body but not his soul, or an AI chip like was in Steve?
Could all the reprogramming that Megan has tried on Bo actually be on a clone that backfired on Megan, with his love for Hope replicated? Whatever happened to the “Bo” she had in that cryogenic tube, he wants nothing more to do with her but he’s still not acting like the real Bo!
