Dan shared a photo with a caption that notes, he “did a thing.” The picture was of a Citizenship certificate from the United States, as well as a koala bear stuffie holding an American flag. Feuerriegel notes that he’s been here for ten years and reveals that he “guesses” he now has to stay a little “longer”. He also lets his home country of Australia know that it’ll always be his “first”.
DOOL fans, along with fellow colleagues, jumped into the comments section to issue their “congratulations”. Actor Paul Telfer (Xander Kiriakis) sent a shoutout of “Whoah! Congrats!” Meanwhile, Greg Rikaart (Days Leo Starks and Y&R’s Kevin Fisher) posted applauding emojis. Actress Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady) also chimed in with a “Congrats!!!!” comment.

Dan hails from New South Wales and Queensland, Australia. He graduated from the Queensland University of Technology in 2002, studying acting. After graduation, he appeared in stage productions within his home country, which include Rent, The Beauty Queen of Leenane, and The Three Sisters. He would later have appearances in Stupid, Stupid, Man, a comedy series that aired on Australian TV1. Just prior to his Days stint, he appeared on the Australian soap, Home and Away, as well as Spartacus.
In June 2021, Feuerriegel was recast in the role of EJ DiMera on DOOL and has been happily accepted by Days fans everywhere. Over the past two years, he’s truly evolved the character as his own.
