General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is going to have a big favor to ask of her dearest friend, Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattson). Willow has made peace with the fact that she is dying. She’s not going to be around to spend her life in wedded bliss with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). She won’t be there to teach her children to ride a bike or watch them head off on their first date. She won’t dance with her son, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver), at his wedding. She won’t know what the sound of her daughter’s voice sounds like. As much as it pains Willow to grieve the loss of those experiences, all she wants is for her own children to not have to feel the loss of their mother throughout their lives. Likewise, she doesn’t want Michael to grieve forever and live in loneliness while raising their kids. When she explains this to Sasha, her bestie isn’t going to understand what any of that has to do with her.
Sasha and Michael were a couple, once upon a time. At the same time, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Willow were coupled up as well. When Chase and Sasha saw how pressed Michael was to secure custody of Wiley — simultaneously getting him away from Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier), they devised a plan to convince Willow and Michael they had cheated on them. The ruse worked and Michael and Willow were pushed together for the sake of Wiley.
Eventually, the truth came out. Willow tried again with Chase, and actually ended up marrying him when she thought he was dying. On the flipside, Michael and Sasha gave it a genuine shot trying to be something more than friends again, but they just didn’t fit together anymore. Michael had become a father, and Sasha was still trying to establish herself in a career and in Port Charles. Now, Sasha has lost her husband, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), and her son, Liam Mike Corbin.
Sasha and Michael will have more in common than ever before when Willow passes away — both of them widowed. Sasha will know exactly how Michael feels, and she might be the perfect friend for him during the grieving process. At least, that’s how Willow envisions it. She doesn’t just want Sasha to help her plan her wedding to Michael; she wants Sasha to promise her she won’t resist falling in love with Michael again just because of Willow’s memory. In fact, she wants her to seriously consider giving it a shot. How will Sasha feel about this favor? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
