Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and updates tease that Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) is disappointed when Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) has bad news. He assumed when Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) moved to New Zealand that he’d be getting his job-Maggie informs him he’s not!

Alex doesn’t understand if he could take over for Sonny when he was recovering from the stabbing, why he can’t take over for him now. Maggie relays the news coming down from the top that Alex isn’t in consideration for Sonny’s position-he’s working remotely from New Zealand! Alex is frustrated because when they had the farewell party, no one ever mentioned the fact, and he was looking forward to a big promotion.

Maggie relays a Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) style zinger about the spelling of the word “assume” – and Alex feels like the first syllable. He had so many plans for the lifestyle he’d live with the money he’d make with that job.

Days Of Our Lives Updates – Alex Kiriakis Will Work Hard To Get A Promotion

Alex determines that he will work hard to get a promotion to – something; there has to be something he can do for Titan that will get him more power and prestige. Alex never thought about the future before, but now he realizes he can’t just drift from situation to situation. That’s what got him such a bad reputation working with his brothers, who thought he’d never amount to anything, and he wants to prove them wrong. He’s realized it’s time to grow up and take life a little more seriously-he’s learned from recent experiences you never know how long you have. So many in Salem are grieving and he caused some of the grief himself by being selfish, and lost his Miss Right-he wants to change that.

They May Not See Eye To Eye But He’ll Try

Alex is desperately trying to find his niche in the business world by working for Titan, but he still doesn’t quite feel like he fits in. He and his coworkers and superiors may not see eye to eye, but he is still going to at least try. He has a vision of a million dollar deal that will make everyone proud but not quite figured out how to make it come to fruition.

But he believes in himself, if no one else does, and he believes if he can dream it, he can do it. Suddenly he’s got his mantra-and goes about dreaming it and doing it.
