General Hospital (GH) spoilers leak Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) has been on pins and needles waiting for the hospital review board to declare whether or not she’s worthy of keeping her job. Finding out she was practicing medicine without a license, stealing hospital supplies, and holding a pregnant fugitive hostage against her was no small mistake for the board to mull over. Elizabeth has always been a stand-up nurse at GH, but some missteps are just too enormous to overlook. When the review board declares Elizabeth will be terminated from her long-held position, she’s going to spiral — again.

This isn’t the future Elizabeth had planned. When she became a nurse, her only intention was to help others. She’s been a fairly selfless person — at work, anyway. No one would ever complain about her care on the job, but that doesn’t mean what she does when she’s off the clock won’t come back to bite her. Immunity from going to prison was a big feat and Elizabeth considers that success, although it left her feeling like she got off easy. She may regret those feelings when she learns she’ll be paying up — with her job.

General Hospital Updates – Hamilton Finn Will Pull Her Through

Despite how devastated Elizabeth might be, she knows this isn’t the end for her. However, she’s going to have to figure out what comes next. Is she headed back to Kelly’s as a waitress? Will any other medical facility hire her with this kind of stain on her record? It’s about to be public knowledge that she helped Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) hold a pregnant woman hostage. A place like Spring Ridge probably wouldn’t even welcome her on board. That being said, there might be room for her soon should Finn’s father, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) need a live-in nurse down the line. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) would definitely recommend her for end-of-life care.

What Happens Next?

Cameron ‘Cam’ Webber (William Lipton) is supposed to be headed out of town to Stanford on a permanent hiatus to go play college soccer. He’s thrilled about the opportunity and knows that great things await him, even if it’s hard to leave Port Charles and the people he loves behind. That might change when he learns his mom is out of work. How can he possibly leave her in the lurch with all the bills and his brothers to take care of? Elizabeth will certainly encourage him to go anyway, but that doesn’t mean he’ll listen. We haven’t received confirmation that Lipton is leaving GH; could this be why?
