General Hospital (GH) spoilers offer some sad backstage news for the soap opera’s cast and crew, as they mourn yet another loss. N’Neka Garland, who was the producer of the daytime drama from 2015 to 2023 has passed away. Before this role, she was an executive producer assistant show in the early 2000s.

General Hospital Spoilers – Many Took To Social Media To Share Their Sorrow

Laura Wright, who plays Carly Spencer paid tribute to Garland via Instagram, noting how she’ll remember just how N’Neka’s smile would light up a room, and that her laughter brought joy. Wright reveals that Garland “had a gift” in making everyone feel as if they were her “favorite”. Laura also notes in the IG post that her heart is “really, really” sad.

Meanwhile, actress Rebecca Budig (ex-Hayden Barnes) also shared her grief over N’Neka, noting that Garland was the “kindest” and that she loved her. Nicolas Bechtel (ex-Spencer Cassadine) chimed in saying, “this one hurts” and “may she rest in peace”. In addition, Hudson West (ex-Jake Spencer) notes that he too is “completely heartbroken”, and actress Sydney Mikayla (ex-Trina Robinson) offered the same sentiments. Former Johnny Zacchara portrayer, Brandon Barash (Days Stefan DiMera) states that hearing the news of Garland’s passing “shattered” him, and Kristen Alderson (ex-Kiki Jerome) revealed that she was “devastated” to learn about what happened to N’Neka.

N’Neka was so loved by her GH family that the show named a character after her, a The Savoy bartender. From the sounds of it, the soap’s cast and crew will miss Garland greatly. The daytime drama has dealt with its fair share of losses recently, with actress Sonya Eddy’s passing in late 2022. GH just paid a tribute to the actress and her legendary character, Epiphany Johnson, this past week during a special episode that aired on March 29th.
