Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) Spoilers: DOOL Inks Two-Year Renewal With Peacock

Days Of Our Lives

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers state that Peacock has renewed the Salem soap opera for another two years. Cast members, crew, production, and Days fans can now rejoice, knowing that the daytime drama will be around until at least 2025, which happens to be the very same year the show will be celebrating its 60th anniversary.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Celebrating Good Days Ahead

Kristian Alfonso (Hope Williams Brady) recently told Soap Hub that the news about the renewal is “incredible”. She adds that the two-year contract extension is very “big” and extends congratulations to Sony, Ken Corday, executive producer, Albert Alarr, co-executive producer, the entire cast, crew, and DOOL fans.

This news is timely, with Alfonso’s big return happening this week, as well as Peter Reckell’s (Bo Brady). Kristian also states that she’s quite proud of both Albert and Ken for their leadership and for keeping the daytime drama in a place where viewers can watch it. Alfonso notes that the contract renewal is a “sigh” of relief and it’s incredible that the show will continue being in fans’ living rooms (or on planes and cars as now it can be streamed). Kristian states that audiences can always have their favorite show with them, giving everyone a feeling of familiarity and “home”. She ends everything off by stating that she can’t wait to see Days celebrate over the next two years, with their 60th birthday arriving.

Days Of Our Lives Updates – Salem’s History Over The Years

DOOL began airing on NBC in November 1965 as a 30-minute show. In 1975, the daytime drama extended their broadcast to 60 minutes. While other soaps aired repeat shows in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic due to lockdowns and production stops, Days provided original shows without interruption because of their filming schedule. As of September 2022, the show moved to the world of streaming, switching over to NBC’s Peacock. Days mini-series were also provided in the form of Beyond Salem (2021) and Beyond Salem 2 (summer 2022). DOOL has been listed in the top 10 titles on the streaming service since moving to Peacock.
