The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is closer to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) than at any time since after Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was born. In contrast, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), who is deeply distressed by her brother’s gullibility, had to ditch Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John).

Ashley has been telling herself that she was stringing Tucker along. But their growing closeness led to a cavort. She took an opportunity while in his Grand Phoenix hotel suite, to look for damaging information and found it.

But the Jabot-related folder she found was overridden by Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) entrance and shutdown of his father.

Diane has come a long way back from the dead. As devoted viewers recall, this character appeared to be killed off in 2011 in real-time.

But TPTB resurrected Diane and recast the role from Maura West (who last portrayed this character) to Walters, who had not portrayed this alter ego since 2010.

Diane’s goals were to reestablish her bond with Kyle and reconnect with Jack. It was relatively easy for Diane to earn Kyle’s trust. Jack took a while, but he is all in now.

What is Jack thinking? His sisters can not figure him out. Neither can Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) or Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).

Speaking of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) wife, Nikki will be Diane’s robbery target. As incredible as that last sentence reads, Jack is endorsing the plan Diane hopes to execute.

Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) wants Diane to prove her loyalty to him. So, she was told to surprise him. Her decision to commit a high-profile crime in Genoa City, Wisconsin and Jack is going alone with it.

Meanwhile, Lonely Hearts Club Grows

Tucker and Ashley were both lonely. They still care about each other after all these years since their divorce.

Ashley was working a partial angle while also allowing herself to fall back into love with him. But Devon’s reveal regarding Tucker’s intent to seize control of Chancellor-Winters and the dossier Ashley found regarding Jabot proved too much.

While the repairing of Devon and Tucker’s relationship will take time, Ashley might be more persuadable. However, Tucker quickly moved on to another option, hoping to bring everyone down with Phyllis’ help on Y&R.
