Hope’s character took her dismissal in stride, anticipating it because she was told her elevation to Adam’s old Chief Executive Officer’s slot was on a trial basis. The move also had nothing to do with the relationship she was developing with Nick.

Victor is still the head of Newman Enterprises, though he has stepped back publicly in recent years due to his rare blood condition. If he decides Adam will be back, it will happen.

Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was hired by Victoria to replace Sally. There appears to be the potential for a romantic connection in this part of the storyline. But that has not happened yet.

Adam lost Sally to Nick. He could return to Newman based solely on that plot point, looking to antagonize his older brother with his presence.

Grossman’s character is always up for needling Victoria. He could determine that returning would be a jab at her and accept any job offer.

Victor does not want to facilitate a renewed sibling rivalry unless it involves healthy business competition. The idea of reviving Adam’s role in the business is enticing, with fans wondering how he could turn his father down if Victor offers the option on Y&R.
