Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has spent the better part of this year trying to give Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) the benefit of the doubt. First, it was for Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) sake and then his own. Those old feelings for Diane were still there but he had to be cautious as he had no idea what really went on during the decade everyone thought she was dead.

A trio of women, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), tried to warn him and then spent their year trying to expose Diane. As each little layer was pulled back, Diane came clean about more things in order to do damage control, but now it seems her most dangerous secret is right there in the Abbott living room and Jack is one angry man.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Jack Abbott Makes A Few Things Clear

Jack is furious enough to find Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) in his living room and then further infuriated to find the ex-con in his office. He knows Diane is the one who provided the testimony to put him behind bars so he realizes just how dangerous he can be. So, he issues a warning and then starts suspecting that someone else may have had something to do with this…cough…Phyllis…cough.

“It sinks in with Jack that somebody told a hardened criminal who just got out of prison how to find Diane,” Peter Bergman said in the December 12, 2022, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “You get the sense from him that people have regretted crossing this guy.”

Jack forces Jeremy to leave and doesn’t get anywhere so he offers to pay him. “It becomes clear he’s not just here for money and the issue becomes much more complicated,” Bergman said.
