Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) has spent months wondering what happened to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and how he became this bitter and ambitious when it comes to the corporate world. The Nate she fell in love with was a doctor who truly cared about his patients and not just about moving ahead as a businessman.

She even went so far as asking Nate if they could take a break and then couldn’t bring herself to take him back when he begged for her forgiveness a few weeks ago. In fact, she is the one who told Devon Hamilton (Byton James) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) that Nate was trying to sabotage their Chancellor-Winters IPO. That does not mean Nate didn’t want her back but Elena said no and even contemplated relocating for a while to get away from it all.

Well, now it looks like Elena has changed her mind, but how long will her new decision even last?

The Young And The Restless Updates – Elena Wants Nate But Doesn’t Trust Him

After spending some time in Baltimore, Elena realizes that she truly does love Nate and that she wants to give their relationship another shot, so she surprises Nate and turns up at his door and he is thrilled. However, Elena needs some reassurance at first.

“She’s open to a reconciliation,” Brytni Sarpy said in the November 7, 2022, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “She wants to know if Nate has finally sobered up to the reality of his actions and is ready to take full accountability.”

Sadly, Elena is not going to get what he wants because Nate still does not see what he really did wrong and informs her that he is ready to take the position of CEO of Newman Media. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) offered it to him, so why not, right?

Needless to say, Elena doesn’t like that idea at all and lets Nate know how she feels and he only grows angry that Elena refuses to support him.
