The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Ashley Cozies Up To Tucker-Can She Con A Con?

The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Soap Opera Digest that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will cozy up to Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John). The big question is, will she be able to con a con?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – She Goes Along With The Plan

Ashley really wanted no further contact with Tucker, but Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) convinced her to question him about Diane Jenkins (Susan Jenkins). It was suggested that she act like an undercover spy, cozying up to Tucker to try and get information from him about Diane’s activities and theirs together in Los Angeles. Ashley finally agreed, but realizes she may be getting herself into a sticky wicket in the process, and then there’s the question if she can pull off conning a con!

Ashley decides to call Tucker to meet up with her again at Society, the first time she did he was late, having to deal with something with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). He takes her up on the offer and they meet for drinks at the bar and start talking.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Too Many Diane Jenkins Questions?

Ashley and Tucker start talking, and he picks up on her being focused on his connection to Diane, as she’s peppering him with Diane’s questions. He admits he’s not surprised she has a lot of questions about Diane since she’s made no secret about wanting to find dirt on her. But he’s not interested in Ashley’s interest in Diane and her past, he’s interested in reconciling with her, so Ashley has to change tactics rather quickly. She starts full-on flirting with him, but perhaps she tries a little bit too hard because he’s dubious when she tells him she can’t get him out of her mind.

Laying On The Charm

When Tucker questions his ex-wife’s quick turnaround, Ashley starts laying on the charm and appeals to his ego, and he buys it, claiming to be a changed man. Ashley, out of an abundance of self-protection issues challenges Tucker, wanting him to prove to her that he has changed. His feelings for her are sincere, or at least he claims, so he accepts her challenge to prove himself to her.

Basically, Ashley is putting Tucker on probation, not making any promises or a commitment but testing the waters of reconciliation only. There will be many twists and turns along the way as she tries to get him to open up to her and yet keep her own agenda concealed.
