The Young And The Restless Spoilers – A Break For A Reason

Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) has slowly watched Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) change from a caring doctor she was happy to share a life with to a man who is a shadow of his former self who only cares about money and power and upping Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) whenever he can.

This new mean and bitter Nate is not the Nate who Elena fell in love with and she has known that for quite a while now. Too bad Nate has been so oblivious to everything that he just couldn’t see the forest for the trees. When Elena came to him telling him that he wasn’t the man she thought she knew and she believed they should take a break from their relationship, he was floored.

The Young And The Restless Updates -Nate Hastings Begs For Elena Dawson Back

Not much has improved with Nate’s attitude since Elena asked for their break. Instead, he has doubled down on his power-hungry attitude and taken up with ice queen Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) in an ill-advised insider trading deal in which Victoria now knows that Chancellor-Winters is going to go public and he is willing to let her in on it. Then, he can take over Chancellor-Winters and leave Devon out in the cold.

Elena knows all about this and that is why she is torn when Nate sits down with her and tearfully begs her to return to him. He feels lost without her and wants their relationship back to the way it was. Elena feels the same, but also knows their relationship can’t go back unless Nate changes and Nate looks like he is now a shadow of his former self.

Still, it’s hard for Elena to resist temptation, which is how she ended up with Nate in the first place when she was already involved with and living with Devon. In fact, the rivalry between Nate and Devon became what it is now because of Nate and Elena’s one night on an exam room table.
