The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) had no romantic interest in Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) just weeks ago. But this is daytime, so now he is madly in love with his younger brother’s recent ex-girlfriend.

Referring to the three characters above in terms that are like immature high-schoolers is apt. The fact that Nick and Adam are connected to the same woman again is outrageous. But these are the Newmans, and this is Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Nick is a quirky guy. After making a solid push to build a first-time bond with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) within the last year-plus, he has betrayed that trust.

It is true that Sally and Adam were no longer together at Hope’s character’s insistence. She blocked Adam’s request to reconcile. But this pairing burned hot for months and has only been over for a minute.

If Adam was doing what Nick is doing and Nick was on the receiving end, all of GC would know about it, and Adam would be scorned. But Nick is the arguable scoundrel this time around.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Sally Spectra Switches Guys

Sally arrived in town after Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) told her to stay away from him and his true love, Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden), or leave Los Angeles, California. So, Hope’s character made the latest successful crossover from The Bold and the Beautiful to Y&R.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) initially caught Sally’s eye. She found him, his social status, and his financial footing equally appealing. But Jack quickly tired of Sally’s antics and cut her loose. So, then it was onto Adam.

No one can blame Sally for not wanting to get back together with Adam based on how he handled the breakup he initiated. The move to Nick might be her best choice of the four men who were referenced.

Adam Newman Does Not Like Being Slighted

Adam still has feelings for Sally. He does not want to carry on with her. So, he has turned his downward gaze on Nick.

The brotherly battle is something Adam and Nick are comfortable with because it is how they have often related to each other since Chris Engen (Adam) became the first SORAS’d (soap opera rapid aging syndrome) edition of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) younger son in 2008.

A target will remain on Nick’s back if Adam does not couple with another woman in the relatively near future. But Sally is sure to defend what now is her man, and that should provide plenty of soapy sparks this fall on Y&R.
