The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Diane Spills The Tucker Tea To Jack

The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Soap Opera Digest that Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) presence is causing Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) problems. Even though no one has actually proven that they had any connection with each other in Los Angeles, there are enough people that suspect it, so she decides to confess.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Getting Ahead Of It

Tucker hasn’t squealed on Diane about their connection back in LA, but she’s still worried that just by showing up he’s already made it easy for others to confirm it. Diane has worked very hard since she’s been back in Genoa City to prove herself, especially to her son Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) but also to his father Jack. With Tucker’s splashy arrival, he pretty much blew everything out of the water for her, so she figures she needs to get ahead of it.

She thinks she’s got a little bit of an upper hand over Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) with Jack for the time being, so she decides to confess. Diane hopes she can get ahead of Phyllis’ accusations since she was making real progress until Tucker showed up.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Fire Away

Diane goes to Jack’s office and says she needs to talk to him about some things, he says fire away and so she starts trying to deflect focus to Phyllis. This tactic has worked well for Diane in the past, and so she thinks it will work this time with Jack as well. She asks if he has any doubts about her and Tucker having, or having had, a secret life because of anything Phyllis has said. It doesn’t have the effect that she thought it would, because he puts the brakes on the conversation and reminds Diane of her own lies and deceit in the past. Then Jack disheartens her further, telling her that he made a mistake by giving her the benefit of the doubt too soon and too easily, although he had tried.

No Trust

Jack further explains that he doesn’t trust her anymore because his instincts are telling him she’s not being honest about her past in Los Angeles. He had given her a second chance for Kyle’s sake but is now suspicious of her and mainly because of Tucker’s arrival. It gets worse – she runs into Phyllis afterward and she goads her about Talia Morgan (Natalie Morales) itching to dig into her history with Tucker.

She decides then she needs to come clean about everything to Jack about her connections to Tucker in Los Angeles. At least that way he’ll be hearing her side of it and not the assumptions of others, but it will have major ramifications for everyone involved going forward.
