The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and rumors tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will keep spiraling. Will Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) have to force a judicial commitment?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Depressed And Suicidal

Chelsea is not only exhibiting depressive symptoms but she’s also suicidal; she has been hearing accusing voices; there is a great possibility that she’s developed bipolar disorder with schizophrenic tendencies. Someone needs to force her into treatment before it’s too late, and she doesn’t have a close relative nearby, and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) doesn’t need to find his mother dead.

Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach) lives several states away, so Adam may be her only chance although Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has also been concerned and checking in. Chelsea is in an extremely desperate condition emotionally and mentally, and she’s just about ready to totally snap.

The Young And The Restless Updates – On The Edge

Chelsea is definitely on the edge, even though Adam did manage to convince her that she should get some therapy to get ahead of the mood swings. She made terrible decisions concerning both Connor and her other birth son Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) which alienated both, and she had been looking to Connor for emotional support. That’s more than a young boy should be expected to handle, and indeed it is more; both Adam and Billy have noticed this and addressed it to her. She’s on the edge in more ways than one as the accusing voices keep driving her – she even climbs on the roof and looks down, and contemplates jumping off. If someone doesn’t see her and stop her, it will be too late and the accusing voices keep telling her to do it, that no one will ever miss her.

A Timely Interruption

Fortunately for Chelsea, Adam has a bad feeling and goes and checks on her, finding her looking over the edge and grabs her before she can jump. He may no longer be her husband, but he is the father of one of her sons and has become her protector and savior. Adam may be crossing a line when he locks her in a room with no windows until he can get help, but it’s for her own good.

Connor has been through enough trauma without his mother hurting herself or worse, and he knows what has to be done. Adam calls Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) to help with an emergency intervention so they can get Chelsea the help that she so desperately needs.
