Brooke’s maternal feelings naturally cover Hope. So, it is not surprising that Lang’s character is concerned about Hope being manipulated by Thomas, based on his many instances of wronging her, himself, and others.

Thomas’ recent realization, that he should return to being a full-time parent, rightly raised concerns. The stable life Hope and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) created and maintained for Douglas has been disrupted.

While Brooke is using Douglas’ situation as a proxy, her protective instincts are well-intended and right.

Brooke is Ridge’s wife. Taylor wants to remarry Ridge, which would represent their third union.

Ridge is living in his eighth marriage to Brooke. That underscores the eternally fragile nature of whatever their relationship represents. Yet, their vows override whatever Taylor’s hopes may be.

Both ladies are projected to be in Aspen, Colorado, in the coming episodes. Ridge will be there as well. Unless Brooke and Taylor break the cycle, and they have allowed Ridge to restart, the status quo will persist on B&B.
