General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Sam And Sonny’s Daughter Lila Is Alive — And Living In Port Charles!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates reveal in one of the saddest days in GH history, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) lost her baby girl back in 2004. Sam has grieved that loss for nearly two decades, but rumors are circulating that baby Lila might not have been stillborn after all. In a turn of events, no one would see coming, how will Sam respond if she not only finds out her daughter is still alive, but she’s not someone Sam can be proud of?

General Hospital Spoilers — What Went Wrong

Baby Lila McCall was born by emergency Cesarean after Sam went into distress during an argument with her own mother, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). Alexis was pressuring Sam into inducing labor early so that stem cells from Lila’s umbilical cord could be used for a transplant to save Kristina Davis’ (Lexi Ainsworth) life as she was suffering from leukemia.

General Hospital Updates – Lila May Be Esme Prince

Could Lila have lived but been put up for adoption or swapped and given to another couple? Could she have been raised to become Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl)? There were certainly enough sinister people around Sam at that time to have passed off another baby as Sam’s and taken her healthy baby girl for themselves. The timeline actually supports this theory rather well. Lila would now be about the same age Esme is today.

Early in Esme’s storyline, we found out she held bitterness toward an unnamed person who broke up her allegedly happy family home with her adoptive parents. We’ve yet to learn who they were, and we don’t know who cheated, but it’s pretty clear someone did. Could it be that Esme’s bitterness was directed at Sam for conceiving her during an affair with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) — making him her father? If Esme is The Hook, this would explain rather well why she’s targeting Sonny. Is Sam next?

 Sam McCall and Nina Reeves Will Connect

Does anyone else in Sam’s world know what it feels like to have a child you cannot be proud of more than Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros)? An unlikely friendship may form between these two women as Sam comes to grips with who Lila became. When Sam comes to realize that her daughter was kept from her for all of these years, it might seriously backfire on her relationship with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) as the truth comes out that Carly has been keeping it a secret that Nina is Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) birth mother.
