General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Robert Faces Torn Feelings Over Holly

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) is overjoyed that his ex-wife and longtime love, Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) is back in his life — and in life in general. Presumed dead two years ago, Robert grieved the loss of Holly hard, and he struggled to forgive himself for not being able to save her. He’s not dabbled in the dating world since, and only recently told Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) he would consider doing such just as soon as he had Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy) behind bars.

In a twist Robert never saw coming, it is Anna who is actually locked up now, and all at the hands of Victor. Faced with potentially losing another dear friend and ex-wife to Victor’s scheming, he’s going to become obsessed with hunting for the truth and unraveling Victor’s ploy for the PCPD.

General Hospital Updates – It’s No Coincidence Holly Sutton’s Return Came Just in Time

It would seem as though Holly returned to Port Charles in the nick of time to lace up her WSB shoes and assist Robert, Mac Scorpio (John J. York), Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), and others on the hunt for the truth that is keeping Anna behind bars. Could her timing be mere coincidence, or might she have been released back to her friends just in time to distract them from what comes next — or to veer them off course from a more sinister plan in motion?

Word on the street is that Holly isn’t actually absent-minded about the last two years of her life, but she has been helping Victor carry out his terrorism against many of the people she loves. Why would Holly help such an evil man hurt the people she cares about most in this world? He must have her over a barrel, or brainwashed! What is Holly hiding? Something — and Robert knows it!

Robert Scorpio Knows the Truth

He might not be conscious of it, but Robert knows something isn’t on the up and up. Holly’s return to Port Charles was far too mundane. Washing up on the shore at the Quartermaine’s and finding her way to the boat house might have been believable had she been at all injured, sun-beaten, malnourished, or otherwise expressed signs that she’d been struggling to stay alive and safe in some way.

Not knowing whether she’s been kept in captivity, and not even bothering to try to figure it out, is odd behavior for Robert. It tells us he’s avoiding it for a reason — he knows he smells a rat. Part of Robert just wants to rejoice in Holly’s return and ignore his instincts, but they’re screaming at him, and soon will become unavoidable.
