General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) isn’t the first hypocrite in Port Charles. We love Ava, but we’re calling a spade a spade. She seems to hold other people — namely those who hurt her — to a higher standard than she holds herself. When Ava feels betrayed by someone, it seems as though her memory of her own behavior lapses. In fact, it also seems like everyone else’s memory of Ava’s behavior lapses, too.

General Hospital Spoilers — Kiki Haunts Her For More Than One Reason

Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) is no longer with us, but her memory continues to haunt her mother. Ava never got to make amends with Kiki after banishing her from her life once she found out Kiki had linked up with her own mother’s boyfriend, Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen). Since Kiki’s death, Ava has stemmed the pain of that loss by making up with Griffin before they went their separate ways.

Kiki always had plenty of reasons to throw Ava’s past mistakes in her face, and it seems like ever since her death, no one else really holds Ava accountable. At least, no one else except Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) — but only for Ava’s involvement in Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) death, not so much for her relationship with him. Do they approve of that, too?

General Hospital Updates – Remember Morgan Corinthos?

One such double standard was Ava’s intent to hurt Kiki and her former boyfriend, Morgan. It was Ava who hooked up with Morgan — a guy many years her junior. It was Ava who didn’t care about the repercussions for her daughter’s relationship with Morgan, nor her own relationship with her daughter. Was hooking up with her daughter’s boyfriend really all that much worse than Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) hooking up with his son’s girlfriend?

Nikolas And Ava Really Are Made For Each Other

Sources say no. Nikolas and Ava may truly be one another’s perfect match. Nikolas’ one-night affair with Esme Prince (Avery Kirsten Pohl) was the straw that broke the camel’s back for Nik’s relationship with his son Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez). It also decimated his marriage to Ava — and it begs the question of why? If nothing was wrong with her relationship with Morgan, is Nikolas’s one-time fling with Esme all that serious?
