Things seem to be moving fast for him where new gal pal Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) is concerned and he knows Kate wouldn’t be judgmental.

There are some in Salem who doesn’t understand why Chad seems to be moving on with one of Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) cousins when she’s not even cold in the grave. Kate may be an older- uh, lady with more experience, but she’s young at heart and she doesn’t judge. She’s even had a May-December romance or two with her being December, and she was married to a DiMera brother so Chad considers her family.

Chad and Stephanie’s recent romantic evening was cut short by one who doesn’t understand and would have a young widowed father join a monastery! With the little ones’ grandma, Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain) in New York indefinitely, who are they going to have for a mother figure – their aunt Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk)?

Days Of Our Lives Updates – Companionship Is Not Bad

Kate’s advice is to do what is right for Chad and let the opinions of others be their own; companionship is not a bad thing. Chad lost his wife and Stephanie nearly lost her mother, and Kate nearly lost her own life, and going through those kinds of things together bonds people. So what if their liquor did a little talking too on the night they were having cocktails together, much worse things have happened when people got drunk! Kate could have invented the old saying “if it feels good, do it” because she’s done a lot of that kind of thing in her life. And while it’s a very romantic idea to think someone is one’s soul mate or one’s destiny, it surely doesn’t mean one has to stop living when that person dies.

Gratefulness Does One’s Heart Good

If it’s one thing that Kate has learned, gratefulness does one’s heart good, and Chad is grateful she, Kayla, and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will make it. A last-minute save is difficult to wait for, and there were some very scary moments when all three almost died – Kayla coming back from the brink. Chad was so bereft without Abigail and closure until her killer was identified and caught he wanted to go be with her.

Stephanie and he have become very bonded and very close in a short amount of time, but Kate says that’s okay. When one has been on the brink of death and comes back, it’s important to live one’s life fully.
