Counting On fans know that Jill Dillard has a lot to be happy about. Derick, her husband, is a qualified attorney and finally looks forward to a stable income. Additionally, they moved close to Stilwell, Oklahoma where Derick was sworn in as an attorney. Her son Isreal does well at school, and she welcomed Freddy, a healthy new baby this year. Of course, Samuel her second son still remains a sweetheart. Additionally, she reconciled with her mom, Michelle Duggar. However, she still feels torn between sad and happy emotions.
Josh Duggar went to prison after his conviction for child abuse-related downloads on his computer. Actually, it seemed like a very difficult time for his sister. Bear in mind, she was named as one of those kids that he molested years ago. So, TLC fans feared that she might have to testify. Fortunately, that didn’t happen. Later, along came her new baby boy. Freddy, and these days her life looks quite different. So, overall, 2022 turned out to not be a complete disaster for Jill’s immediate family.
When Freddy arrived, the adorable child was a rainbow baby. Recall, about a year ago, the Counting On couple lost a child. Actually, they named their baby, River Bliss. The sad news arrived soon after they had already told the boys about their new sibling. So, the whole family went through a very sad time. Nowadays, TLC fans see that the family seems much happier as Freddy brightened up their lives.
Right now, Jill Dillard seems torn between sadness at the loss of River and joy for her baby, Freddy. this time last year, they said goodbye to River. So, as she nursed young Freddy, obviously, her thoughts turned to the child who died prematurely. In her long post, Jill said, “❤️🩹😭It’s been 1 year ago today since we said goodbye to our baby, River Bliss.” Then, she talked about how she feels “conflicted with feelings of loss and joy.”
The Counting On alum also talked about being grateful for Freddy, but also sad because River Bliss never had the chance to bond with his mom. Still, she has her faith to cling to that her child went straight to heaven. In her caption, she added, “I can’t wait to see you in heaven, my baby!” Next, she wrote, “Until then, have fun running the streets of gold with Jesus and getting lots of cuddles from grandpa & great grandparents and cousins who have joined you there!”
Counting On fans saw that Jill also thinks about others who go through the heartache of a miscarriage. She described her feelings as “heavy.” Other folks who lost their baby empathize. After all, they too understand how a mom can feel both happy and sad at the same time.
