The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Phyllis Gloats, Talia’s Tale, Diane’s Embarrassment

The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Soap Opera Digest that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will gloat when Talia Morgan’s (Natalie Morales) exposé is published. Phyllis thinks that she’s got the last laugh on Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) when the embarrassing article hits the fan, but perhaps not.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Diane Jenkins Handled It-Not

Diane had thought she had handled the situation when she was all so happy to help Talia with her exposé on the late Ashland Locke (Robert Newman.) She recognized Talia from Los Angeles, where she had seen her on the local news programs, and talked to her even though she suspected someone was up to something. But now, that the news has hit the fan with all of Diane’s mistakes and missteps including all of the most egregious ones, she KNOWS someone was up to something.

Diane has a pretty good idea who was up to something as well, but even though she’s humiliated, it is all true. It’s not like she can sue the investigative reporter for libel, and of course, the snake in the grass revealed herself as Phyllis hissed at her and gloated.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Diane Jenkins Sabotaged At Work?

Of course, Diane now worries about her new Marchetti job and hopes the article won’t go viral in the gossip mill there and ruin her reputation. She’s been the victim of a sneak attack, by Phyllis, although she figures the rest of the run Diane out of town on a rail gang was in on it too. There are so many people at Marchetti that don’t know her from the old days, and this could ruin her new start; she walks through the building in shame. However, not everyone is her enemy; as she stands in disgrace outside the Jabot offices, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) sends her brother a heads-up via text. She soon runs into Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) who encourages her not to play the victim as she tells him what happened. Diane is very grateful for Jack’s encouragement and his belief in her, as she truly has changed.

An Anonymous Benefactor?

Thanks to Jack’s encouragement, Diane just decides to not let the article bother her and try to keep a lid on anything that might come up because of it. She’s sure that behind her back, Phyllis, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) are having themselves a good ol’ time at her expense. Diane resolves to be the best she can at her job, and to act professional at all times.

But then she gets an intriguing text from an anonymous person, although she suspects it could actually be Talia. But on the other hand, might she have an anonymous benefactor on her side-the text that says the rest of the series is canceled and she owes the texter?
