The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) appears out of the running to be with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). A beneficiary of the drama between Adam and his older brother, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), could be Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

Nick’s romantic connection with Sally was telegraphed in recent weeks as these characters were increasingly written together. But it was still a bit off-putting to see Nick go after a woman he knows is in love with Adam.

Adam learns about the connection when finding Nick in Sally’s hotel room. This reveal sets Grossman’s character off and possibly back to a recent flame.

Sally brought the drama with her from The Bold and the Beautiful after crossing over nearly two years ago. Her November 2020 crossover moment continued a longstanding, cheeky history where characters from both shows go back and forth to each locale, sometimes staying for years or only for a matter of days.

Hope’s character was initially enchanted by Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). He found her to be too immature and ended their connection before it developed into romance.

Adam became the next man of interest. He resisted their mutual attraction before eventually giving in. But Adam’s drop opened the door to Nick.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Adam Newman Fell In Love

Adam recently admitted to Sally that he is in love with her. That admission makes her impulse connection with Nick somewhat confusing.

Of course, crossover fans from B&B know that Sally had some romantic misadventures in Los Angeles, California. Her last one, with Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks), proved devastating. Wyatt asked her to leave LA, and she did.

Adam appeared to be a solid match for Sally. But their light burned too bright, ending the pairing shortly after it started.

Chelsea Lawson Wants Stability

Chelsea has been out of sorts for more than a year. Some of that was Adam’s fault as he went berserk after she discovered his plan to topple Newman Towers.

Adam’s order to have Chelsea kidnapped led to her stroke. She endured a long, torturous recovery and is currently attempting to get back on track.

Chelsea’s push to have Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) learn about her birth mother’s status would seem like an issue where she could benefit from Adam’s input. Considering Adam’s history with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and vitriol for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Johnny’s custody issues could be an ideal restarting point for Chelsea and Adam.
