Ridge likes having two women wait, endlessly for him to decide what he wants to do. Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) is so enamored with him that she allows the ongoing flirtation with Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) to persist. And Taylor must believe that no other man can replace him, so she allows herself to hang on to this married man’s string.

What would happen if Brooke woke up one day and made a demand?

She tells Ridge that he commits to her or moves out, and she files for a final divorce, which would be their soapy eighth. Ridge would respond, in his trademark raspy voice, about how devoted he is to her. He would gravel on about how he returned to her and on and on.

Ridge might even play the high-horse card by revisiting all the many misdeeds he has forgiven while not referencing his weird infatuation with Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) a handful of years ago. Whether Brooke would hold steady through his emotional rantings is a hard bet to take because she has often caved.

Doctor, heal thyself. Taylor needs to stop being a dish rag.

Here is a woman who endured the loss of one of her children. And she can not get over remaining unmarried to Ridge?

Like Brooke, Taylor has her pick of men from across the globe. Ridge is just one of them, and is he worth all this trouble? If so, where is the proof of that?

Logic Is Not Emotion In Daytime

How easy it is to tell people what they should do in their lives. But it is easier to do the same when projecting thoughts about characters who may be reflective of those viewers know on the other side of the screen.

And which side of the screen is being referenced? Well, that depends upon one’s perspective.

The triangle of Brooke, Ridge, and Taylor has persisted for decades on B&B. Kudos to TPTB, including the writing staff, for creating a compelling conflict after all these years. Appreciative fans agree.
