The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers document that John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is living naively. He believes his family is safe from Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) forever.
But little does Finn know that his birth mother is once again living by lies. She pulled an old trick from her soapy playbook, pretending to be dead. This time she made her demise look like a bear attack, leaving her middle toe behind.
Sheila’s willingness to cut her toe off is irrational. It is also as hard to digest as her entire body would have been had some bear actually consumed her bit by villainous bit in a woodsy area somewhere outside this version of Los Angeles, California.
Sheila played herself off as Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) admirer. Of course, the disguised woman who made goo-goo eyes at Kanan’s character was not who she presented herself as.
Brown’s character saw Deacon as her best safe harbor option. She targeted him as the one person in LA who would be willing to protect her secrete.
Sheila also calculated that she could force Deacon into remaining silent because he is out on parole. That is no admirer or friend. She is a threat to his freedom and is an enemy.
Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is the reason why Sheila is facing her latest legal predicament. That is Sheila’s take on the matter.
As hardcore fans recall, Steffy went to Il Giardino to confront Sheila. She learned that Brooke Logan Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) champagne bottle was switched and felt the need to confront her.
Steffy used knowledge, that was indirectly connected to her, through Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) to Brooke, as the impetus to have it out with Sheila. Steffy should not have done so, as that led to the double-shooting.
However, all rational minds hold Sheila and all other people, accountable for their own actions. Steffy is not responsible for Sheila pulling the trigger twice and leaving her and Finn for dead.
If anyone can thwart Sheila’s developing endgame, it is Finn. He represents what likely is Sheila’s greatest weakness.
She defers to Finn because she wants his love. Just as he began to use psychological tactics to influence Sheila when she was holding him, hostage, Finn retains the ability to out-think her during the next inevitable encounter on B&B.
