Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) Spoilers: Ben And Ciara Leave Salem To Sail Around The World

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and updates tease that, say it isn’t so! everyone’s favorite couple in Salem is leaving town. That’s because Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) have decided that they’ve had enough of all the drama and are leaving to sail the world with their newborn son. Keep reading below for all of the spoilers you need to know.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Ben And Ciara Leave Salem To Sail Around The World

Apparently, the only way that Ben and Ciara can survive as a couple is if they leave Salem altogether. However, Days of Our Lives Head Writer Ron Carlivati recently told Soap Opera Digest the reason why Ben and Ciara are taking a break from the canvas is because of Victoria Konefal’s scheduling conflicts.

He said, “She really just was not available on a regular basis, and in the way, our show works and how you have to schedule people, it just became less and less feasible to keep her in that status. If you’re going to tell a story with a couple, you need these people to be on the contract.”

But because Robert is still on contract, Carlivati admitted that this presented a unique challenge in telling Ben and Ciara’s story together as a couple. “You want them to have a happy ending, but then that involves writing Rob off the show, who doesn’t necessarily want to leave,” Carlivati shared. “Half the couple leaving oftentimes doesn’t work. Are they not supposed to have any kind of romance, any kind of love story because their spouse or significant other is out there somewhere else? It just ties your hands in an impossible way.”

Days Of Our Lives Updates – What’s Next For Ben And Ciara?

That said, Carlivati added that the Days of Our Lives writing team was able to send Ben and Ciara off to sail the world just as Beyond Salem’s second installment began. “We were writing BEYOND SALEM at the same time, so we decided, ‘Hey, they leave Salem on July 8 and say that they’re going to arrive in Montreal on [the following Monday] July 11 on their sailboat,” the head writer revealed. “So, you can seamlessly follow their story when they leave town.”

Of course, fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next! In the meantime, let us know what you think by leaving us a line with your thoughts in our comments section below.
