The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that alum, Sean Carrigan has been hard at work on a new film, Grace Point coming soon.

In this film, a young man is on his way to remote drug rehab and finds himself in a strange town being chased by the locals, as well as his own personal demons. It is directed by Rory Karpf and written by Kaprf and Paul Russell Smith.

A Scotland County native is producing this new movie which will see several well-known and familiar faces in it as it is being filmed in Laurinburg, North Carolina, United States of America. The producer is Rob Harvel who is from Laurinburg and he is producing with the production company called Fresh Cut Films.

The film will star Johnny Lowe, Jim Parrack, Andrew Mc Carthy and more. Sean Carrigan is set to play the role of Luther Stone. Other cast members include; Harlan Drum, Steve O, Edward Barbanell, UFC champion Aljamain Sterling, UFC broadcaster Din Thomas and James Storm (a professional wrestler). Some of the local locations in the movie will include the John Blue property, Legion Park, the former prison in Wagram, the Kingfisher Society, and the Laurinburg-Maxton airport.

The Young And The Restless Updates – The Film is In Production

Grace Point, which is currently in production, aims for a 2023 release. Carrigan kick-started his daytime soap opera career back in June 2013 when he was tapped for the recurring role of Dr. Ben “Stitch” Rayburn on The Young and the Restless on CBS. He was placed on a contract running from December 31, 2013, until 2016. He then went back on recurring until he vacated his role in 2017. In 2021, Carrigan made a brief return to the CBS daytime soap opera and was involved in a front-burner storyline which earned Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman) her first-ever Daytime Emmy Award nomination in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series this year.

Outside of Y&R, Carrigan has played Coach Rafferty on American Vandal. His most recent work includes his role as Ivan Garett on The CW’s All American and John in On the Verge. Please stay tuned for more updates on this film.
