The big day is here for the two young women, and they’re ready to become wife and wife as Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) officiates. The two brides’ portrayers have also been looking forward to the episodes covering their television alter egos’ wedding, with Camryn (Mariah) never having had a wedding on the show. Cait (Tessa) was also excited when they got ready to film the wedding scenes, which are on the Top Of Tower set.

It is a monumental wedding indeed, with Y & R never having had a storyline with the same-sex wedding before. The set looks beautiful, it feels fun, and the wedding comes across as energetic and lively.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Mariah Copeland Gets Ready At Her Mother’s House

Mariah gets ready for the wedding at her mother, Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case ) house, with Sharon and her younger sister Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) helping her. For Mariah, there are no pre-wedding jitters or drama, just excitement and happiness, and looking forward to this next step in her and Tessa’s life journey. Sharon and Faith are also excited and this happy occasion is a welcome distraction for them, having so recently lost their husband and stepfather, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). Mariah is excited and happy about wearing her wedding dress and getting ready to walk down the aisle to happily ever after with the love of her life. She is very happy for Tessa that Rey was able to arrange for her sister Crystal Porter (Morgan Obenreder) to get her charges dismissed – the best wedding present ever!

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Tessa Porter Spends Time With Her Sister

Meanwhile, Tessa is happily spending time with her sister, who she hadn’t seen in years, and having her own family there means the world to Tessa. Nearly all the friends and family that Tessa has made since coming to Genoa City have been through Mariah, and that’s great, but they’re not flesh and blood. Tessa has a few moments of nervousness when it’s getting close to time to go to the wedding venue; her dress is late in arriving!

She jokingly texts Mariah about the delay in her dress’s arrival and threatens to show up to their wedding in her robe, and Mariah texts back, daring her! Finally, her tension is relieved when Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) arrive with her wedding dress!

The Brides Continue Texting Each Other Throughout The Day

The two brides continue texting each other throughout the day, up until it’s time to meet at the top of The Tower. They send silly and stress-relieving texts, like Mariah’s “you’re the jelly in my donut” which Crystal laughs at the silliness of.

Finally, all head out, separately, to the Top of The Tower, which Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) has set up in an amazing and magical way perfect for the two brides. Both are wearing white and Sharon and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) walk them up to the front where Kyle waits ready to officiate the wedding and pronounce them wife and wife.
