Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and updates tease that no one was more surprised than Gabi Hernandez (Camilla Banus) when she was able to hold on to the CEO position at DiMera Enterprises thanks to the timely and shocking appearance of Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk) via a web meeting app. Kristen threw her support behind Gabi which was a shock to everyone.
Not long after the board meeting, Kristen contacted her brother Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) with some sort of offer about the company. She made it clear that even though she supported Gabi in the short term she isn’t a DiMera and should not be the CEO. It is likely that whatever Kristen wanted to do, she needed Jake back at the company to help her.
Kristen’s comment about Gabi not being a DiMera may be a clue to her true motives! There is another person who has held a great amount of power now for many years but isn’t a DiMera. : Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) is on board at DiMera but he has had so much say so in the company that he has been the one to choose the CEO of DiMera. There have been many times that Shin’s approval was needed for almost everything that happens at the company.
Kristen occasionally decides that she wants to run DiMera Enterprises but it usually doesn’t last for long as other things gain her interest. But it seems very likely that if Kristen has plans for the company’s future, Shin might be an obstacle. Perhaps she has enlisted Jake to help her find a way to get Li out of the company. The newfound romance that seems to be brewing between Gabi and Li might play directly into Kristen’s plans. But Jake may not be an easy sell if Kristen wants him to betray Gabi down the road.
Why did Kristen vote to keep Gabi as CEO of DiMera Enterprises? What does she need Jake for? Could Kristen want to get rid of Li for some reason?
