Y&R spoilers reveal that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) found her “dead” husband in Spain. Even though Chance didn’t want to come back home at first, he eventually did return to Genoa City.

Soon, Chance tried jumping back into the workforce. Chance went on a stakeout with Rey. However, it ended badly when Chance froze during a critical moment. Both Rey and Chance knew that it was too soon. That might have been foreshadowing the future.

Eventually, Chance admitted that he needed help. Sharon gave Chance a list of therapists that specialized in PTSD. Chance has begun going to therapy and is just starting the recovery process. However, Chance is really pushing going back to the police force. Chance brought it up to Abby and Rey.

Then, Chance brought it up to Rey, who was clearly uncertain of the timing. Rey didn’t outright object, but the look on his face was clear. Rey isn’t confident that Chance is truly ready, especially with what happened during the stakeout.

Treatment for PTSD takes months and sometimes years. So, for Chance to think he is ready after just a few weeks seems rushed. Chance insisted that his therapist is on board with the idea, so Rey talked to the captain. Now Chance and Rey will be working together again.

Rey Rosales’ Death?

With Rey’s exit being sometime this spring, there isn’t much time left before fans see what happens to the character. Could it really be too soon for Chance to go back to work? Will Chance freeze again? Could it lead Rey to take a risk to save lives, but result in the loss of his own? How will that affect Chance, and will he ever recover from something like that?
