The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) is in total protect mode. She has been defending Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) for months. That is part of her representation of love.

Ashland appears to have lied about having cancer and is in the process of playing aggressive defense. However, Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) claimed evidence hinges on the witnesses Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) spoke in Peru. Those people are missing this week, which extends the drama in Peru and Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Victor is going easy on himself. He approved of Ashland during the period in the plot when Cyaxares Communications was obtained and became Newman Media.

Later, Victor openly stated that he could see that Ashland loved Victoria. Now, the Moustache is claiming that he was always suspicious of Ashland. This after Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) sounded alarms that Victor dismissed.

The Young and the Restless Updates – Ashland Locke Does Love His Wife

Ashland rightly felt betrayed by Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner). She made him believe that Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) was his son when the boy was Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) biological child.

If Ashland is unequivocally confirmed to have lied about having cancer, then Kyle will have to make some decisions regarding whatever future access Newman’s character has to Harrison. Victoria will also need to decide if she wants anything to do with him.

It is easy to project Victoria being mortified because of this heinous reveal. It is also hard to imagine how Ashland could survive this hit and remain married to his second wife.

Victoria Newman Locke Weighs Business Issue

No matter what Victoria may decide about her marriage, she will be part of a hard business decision. Will she and Victor be able to legally force Ashland out of the merged Newman-Locke?

Assuming the cancer lie as fact, Ashland’s plan would have been to use that ruse to manipulate Victoria into pushing for the merger. Did that represent provable fraud, thereby allowing legal room to nullify the deal?

Victor hired Michael because a fight was anticipated. It has arrived and appears to be deepening.

Since this is daytime drama, there will be no clean, simple solution. Plus, it could be that Victoria does not agree to fully back her father on Y&R.
