The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) are in a good place. They have been married since 2020, have endured various trials and soapy tribulations, and are in love.

However, TPTB began playing what felt like a long tease last year. As hardcore fans recall, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) poisoned Rey as part of her revenge plan that was aimed at Sharon.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) dashed Chelsea’s hope to reconcile, which kept her in the single status zone. On the upside, Rey and Sharon have forgiven Chelsea, which makes her developing feelings for Vilasuso’s character dangerous.

Chelsea’s recent dream, where Rey came into her suite at the Grand Phoenix Hotel, admitted his infatuation, and kissed her passionately, was clearly a predictor of what was to come.

Egan’s character is allowing herself to become infatuated with Rey. That is not healthy, as she surely must recognize somewhere in her subconscious.

So, is Chelsea still fighting her seemingly formal rival in Sharon? The answer must be yes. Why else dream about being involved with her husband?

The Young And The Restless Updates – How Does Rey Rosales Handle Attention?

At some point, Rey will have to catch onto Chelsea’s interest. He is not a naive guy. While his first marriage was filled with strife, Rey’s second union has proven to be more heartfelt.

But the insecurity that Rey shared with Chelsea about the Sharon-Adam connection is also buried in his mind. On some level, he may still resent Sharon for reserving a part of her heart for Grossman’s character.

Rey engaging in some form of flirtation or even more with Chelsea is plausible. How he handles that attention will determine whether enabling or reciprocation results.

Chelsea Lawson Needs A Reality Check

Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) has taken note of her best friend’s interest in Rey. Chloe is very protective of Chelsea and should be based on her fragile recovery that is ongoing.

An easy projection would have Chloe giving Chelsea a reality check the next time a public scene happens. It would be some overtly flirtatious move Chelsea makes toward Rey while Chloe is present.

As for Sharon, she will have no problem pushing Chelsea off her husband and warning Rey to be watchful as well.
