The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) receives terrible news about his estranged son Keemo. He had been getting mysterious texts telling him to come to LA and the reason is clear now: Keemo is dead. Jack is understandably upset and his family rally around him.

Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) offer to travel to LA with Jack in the wake of Keemo’s death. Jack announces that he wants to visit his house and see if he can find out more about his estranged son. Jack’s portrayer Peter Berman spills some of the details about this new story arc to Soap Opera Digest. When Jack informs his family about the death, Phyllis Newman (Michelle Stafford) is with him. He explains that things had gotten out of hand between him and his son to the point that he didn’t even know where he was living.

He previews, “Billy and Traci are in shock of course,” and adds that, “Jack’s siblings are understandably concerned about him going,” to LA on such a somber occasion. That’s when it comes out that Red is going with him. Could this be the start of a whole new chapter of Phack? It could be!

Phyllis is hurting after her latest bust-up with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Video games and table sex were not enough to keep them entertained and committed. It looks like Nick is making his way back to Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and the show is set to pair up Jack and Red 2.0.

Now he’s looking for closure but instead of ending a chapter a whole new story is about to begin.” In soap language that sounds an awful lot like the beginning of a beautiful friendship with benefits.
