The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) believes that Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) will allow him to win. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is not as optimistic.

Billy’s ruse was blown when Victoria discovered apple juice was her ex-husband’s daytime drink of choice at the Society bar. Billy talked around her pressing questions but later admitted his lie with Lily by his side.

The unannounced meeting took place in the shadow of Victoria’s brash portrait, which replaced Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) similar glory image. Billy and Lily came clean to the Chief Executive Officer of Newman-Locke.

Billy is hopeful that Victoria’s awareness of what Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has taken from him through the years, meaning, most importantly, Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono), allows her to demonstrate compassion. He wants Victoria to allow his game to play out, buy Newman Media, and then name him the head of the acquired company.

The question is whether Victoria will do so?

Lily saw through Victoria’s follow-up meeting at the condominium where Khalil’s character and Billy have been living with Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri). Lily believes that Victoria intends to allow Billy to con Adam and Victor to take Newman Media.

However, since Billy has no leverage, Victoria can leave him out in the cold. That would position him aside from her father and brother.

Billy made an impassioned plea, telling Victoria that she should trust him to run the media company. The bonus would be her sticking it to Adam by having Billy in charge.

However, doing that would also provoke the wrath of Victor. So, what is Victoria’s incentive to follow that plan?

Victoria was outraged that Billy wanted to humiliate Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). She was equally bothered by Billy believing that he had the right to override her decision to marry.

Devoted fans know that Victoria has a different type of distaste for Adam. He attacked the Newman’s on many occasions and has been allowed to escape and lasting consequences for doing so.

So, Victoria may want to teach her father a lesson by siding with Billy to punish Adam. Doing so would send another message to Victor that she is in charge of Newman-Locke and will do what she wants, regardless of what he thinks or how he feels.
