Viewers of The Bold and The Beautiful will remember that Hope and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) both thought Douglas was merely misquoting the name of a Christmas song, “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” until they took him seriously. Then they had asked him some pointed questions and realized he had gone down to Brooke’s house the night he wanted his favorite toy to sleep with and had disobeyed, going there to look for it. Liam had warned him not to go to the house but he did anyway and Brooke realized the Santa must have been Deacon, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) not having been in town.

Viewers of The Bold and The Beautiful will recall that Brooke had been welcoming to Deacon, even standing up to Ridge on Hope’s behalf and supporting her getting to know her birth father. Brooke had welcomed Deacon into her home and had a nice time with him and Brooke just recently, on Christmas Eve morning so that Deacon and Hope could spend time together and Deacon got time with baby Beth Spencer (River Davison) too. But after New Year’s Eve, there was a sudden change in Brooke’s attitude and Hope had questioned why, and where her father was; it was like he had dropped off the face of the earth!

Finally, Brooke comes clean to her daughter about what really happened on New Year’s Eve, with some pretty shocking details, even for Hope; viewers of The Bold and The Beautiful will recall Deacon spent the night! Hope will have told Brooke about Douglas seeing her kissing “Santa Claus” which she will admit was Deacon, and she was drunk when she put that Santa hat on him!

As viewers of The Bold and The Beautiful will recall, Brooke was already very drunk when Deacon showed up to retrieve his cell phone that he’d left earlier and although he knew better, he didn’t try to sober her up. They started doing vodka shots together and they wound up in bed although he was on top of the covers. The shocking part of Brooke’s confession is that Deacon hadn’t tried to sober her up and that he drank with her because Hope knows her father is an alcoholic too so they fell off the wagon together!
